Nicole Scherzinger's father, Alfonso Valiente, has said that his daughter and her boyfriend of 4-years, Lewis Hamilton, are engaged.

The 26-year old Formula-1 racer proposed to his 32-year old singer & Pussycat Doll. Alfonso said, "You know about the proposal? Yes they are engaged." He also said that, "My future son-in-law is a really nice guy, really down-to-earth," and "He is sincere and he and my daughter seem genuinely happy together. Lewis is a really good guy. When they came to visit, we hired them a Jeep because he had never driven one before."

Lewis and Nicole met at the 2007 European Music Awards in Munich.

Confusingly, Lewis's spokesperson has denied that the couple got engaged.

Lady Antebellumalready has a song that is inspired by the budding romance of Hillary Scott and Chris Tyrell. Hillary, 25, says of "Just A Kiss", "there is so much excitement at the beginning of a new relationship ... This song is about one of those times when your brain kicks in and tells your heart, 'Good things are worth waiting for.' " Perhaps Lady Antebellum can write an engagement song too, because drummer Chris, 24, popped the question this 4th of July weekend!

Just when the sun was setting over a lake in East Tennessee Chris got down on one knee. Hillary says "Chris proposed exactly the way I've always dreamed," Scott shares. "Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!"

No date has been set and the couple also hasn't thought about the guest list. I wonder if Tim McGraw will get an invite, the couple met on his tour in early 2010. Quite the matchmaker Tim is!

Today, June 24th, gay marriage has been made legal in New York. Numerous celebrities tweeted their support of gay marriage, with Lady Gaga tweeting "The revolution is ours to fight for love, justice+equality. Rejoice NY, and propose. We did it!!!" Katy Perry said "NEW YORK! I ♥ U! You’re OFFICIALLY the coolest place on the planet! #PRIDE #EQUALITYFORALL! #CELEBRATE!" Kim Kardashian also gave her two cents, tweeting "NYC legalizes gay marriage!!! NOH8 New York!!!"

All these celebritweets are, of course, wonderful, but the best tweet came from Neil Patrick Harris, who is personally affected by the legalisation of gay marriage. He tweeted "David and I did propose to each other, but over five years ago.We’ve been wearing engagement rings for ages, waiting for an available date." That date has come and the pair is now officially engaged to be married. I'm already looking forward to blogging about their wedding! Congratulations to NPH, David and their adorable tots Gideon and Harper.

Amidst rumours that the couple has split up now comes the news that Jesse James and Kat von D. are tying the knot this summer. As for those rumours? Rubbish, according to Jesse, he says "that is absolutely not true. We're still going strong, things are completely good with us."

Jesse revealed that the couple is getting married this summer on the one year anniversary of when they started dating. That day can't come soon enough for Jesse "She's the one for me."

Jesse and Kat got engaged last January and commute between L.A., where Kat shoots her reality show, and Jesse's home in Austin, Texas, where he lives with his three children, Chandler, 16, Jesse Jr, 14, and Sunny, 7.

Paul, 26, and his band "The Grand Magnolias" are highly likely to perform, but they are planning to ask other bands to play as well, so that their wedding day will be like a music festival.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries could make 5 million Dollars with their wedding!

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries only got engaged 9 days ago, but already people see dollar signs. For Kim and Kris that is. Experts say that K&K and their network could earn up to 5 million Dollar with their wedding. They say that the wedding will be a must-see episode of the Kardashians and then smart product placement will do the rest. Wow. Just wow. I never knew it could be so profitable to get married!

On another note Hollywood Image Consultant Michael Sand says that Kim's popularity is likely to rise even further after her wedding. According to Sand everyone will want to see her get married and is her being single 'boring', because everyone has seen that already. Sounds like a 5 star analyis. Anyway, news of Kim's engagement has been all over the internet for the past couple of days, so she definitely has gotten a star boost from it!

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are sure about each other.

Kris Humphries popped the question after a 6-month courtship, to seem this may seem rather short, but Kris and Kim are convinced that they were made for each other.  "I think probably within a month of meeting her I knew she was 'The One'," Kris says. Whereas Kim says "I really fell in love with him as a person - he's such a good person with a good heart. Everyone that meets him says the same thing."

K&K met in November, during basketball season and got to know each other by making hour-long phone calls. Where previous boyfriends may have failed the family test, Kris fits right in with that Kardashian/Jenners (he even has his own K name to show for it), but what gets Kim the most is that "if I've had a long day, I'm working really hard or I'm stressed, I just can't wait to come home to him. The time that we've spent together, we have so much fun together and he always, no matter what, puts me in a good mood."

Kris Humphries asked future parents-in-law for Kim's hand in marriage.

Kris Humphries' marriage proposal came as a complete surprise to Kim Kardashian, but not to her mother and step-father. Humphries approached Kris and Bruce Jenner a couple of days before the big proposal and asked for Kim's hand in marriage. According to Kris Jenner "it was really just so cute the way that he wanted to surprise her."

So the night that Humphries popped the question mom Kris 'coincidentally' hosted a dinner night, so that the happy couple could come join the dinner and share the good news. While no surprise for Kim's parents, sisters Kourtney and Khloe had no idea. "We were both surprised at the dinner when Kim came out with her big rock and she started waving it in the air" says Kourtney.


According to mom Kris, Kim will organise the whole wedding herself. However, sisters Kourtney and Khloe have already assumed that they're both going to be maids of honour, because "otherwise there would be a war." Well good luck with that Kim ;)

When she was in highschool Kim Kardashian went to Macy's and bought herself her perfect (albeit fake) engagement ring. May 18th she was presented with the real deal and she thinks it's perfect! Fiance Kris Humphries has managed to keep everything under wraps until the big proposal. He and Lorraine Schwartz designed the ring together. All Humphries wanted was it to be big, so it's a good thing that Schwartz is the go-to jeweller of the Kardashians (sister Khloe's ring is also from her hand). Over the years Schwartz has heard it all: from preferred cuts, to favourite shapes, so she had plenty of info to draw from. The final design is a 16 carat emeral cut diamond flanked by a pair of 2-carat trapezoids and apparently cost a whopping 2 million Dollar. It's so big that I wonder if she's having problems with her hand coordination, but Humphries was confident: "I knew she'd love it. She better!"

According to people.com Kim Kardashian was shocked, when she got home May18th and found her boyfriend Kris Humphries on one knee. In front of Kris lay four words in rose petals: will you marry me? Kim and Kris have been dating for six months and Kim is quoted as saying: "I didn't expect this at all" and "I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now."

Kris proposed with a 20.5 carat (!) custom designed, Lorraine Schwartz ring. He is quoted as saying "I just knew I wanted it to be big." Well, he certainly got his wish, look at the size of that ring! Later in the evening there was a small family celebration. Congrats to the happy couple!

Ginnifer Goodwin no longer engaged.

Ginnifer Goodwin and Joey Kern have broken off their engagement. The former Big Love star, 32, and Super Troopers actor, 34, split up a couple of weeks ago. They got engaged last December after they were set up by a mutual friend.
