Widespread criticism on David & Victoria Beckhams name choice.

Her name has caused people to think that she was born at 'half past seven', but there are many, many more reactions to the name of the newest Beckham in town: Harper Seven. The Telegraph has even dedicated an entire article on Tweets about the newborn's name.

There are several theories regarding the origin of the name Harper, guesses go from novelists to Harper's Bazaar magazine, @Martin_Carr tweeted "are we assuming that's after Harper Lee? [the writer of To Kill A Mockingbird] Seems a bit literary for them..." Whereas @sarah_robbo tweeted "erm, I usually like weird celeb' baby names, but HARPER SEVEN? Literally Harpers Bizarre?!"

Some people think that the name is cute and quirky, with @ladysov tweeting, "I actually think the beckhams daughters name "harper seven" is kinda cool." Others come with societal criticism, @camillalong tweeted, "doesn't Posh know the Harper Seven were a group of climate change activists jailed for bombing a juice bar in San Francisco?"

In my opinion, Harper isn't that unusual anymore. To Kill A Mockingbird is a classic and has become a must-read for students. Seven isn't unique either, Erykah Badu and Andre 3000's son is named Seven Sirius. That people hear it as 'half past seven' is quite amusing. Let me put it this way, I'm just happy that they didn't name her Jermajesty.

After a long wait, finally happy news comes also from the celebrity couple David and Victoria Beckham. Victoria gave birth to their first daughter after having 3 boys, on Sunday (10 / 7) yesterday.

The news was reported by a London newspaper, the Daily Mail, which says that a former singer who now works as a designer is having a baby they have been waiting for. Baby's first female celebrity in the family was born in Los Angeles on Sunday (10 / 7) at 7:55 am U.S. time. Babies who have not been given this name born healthy weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces.

"David and Victoria Beckham is proud to announce the birth of their daughter. He was born with a happy and healthy at 7:55 this morning at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are also very happy to welcome their sister," said the spokesman .

Women who have been married to the footballer for 12 years was chosen to give birth by caesarean section, like the other three children. Victoria still looks active until the end of her pregnancy, including flies back and forth by the American-European job as a designer.

The girl that everyone knows and expects to become a future fashionista has finally arrived.

David and Victoria Beckham welcomed a daughter into their family this Sunday morning at 7:55 a.m. in Los Angeles at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Already parents to three boys, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8 1/2, and Cruz, 6 1/2, the couple were surprised to be welcoming a girl. The couple announced that they were expecting a girl in March, David then said "Obviously, having three boys, you kind of expect another one, so finding out a little girl is in there is surprising, but, obviously, we are over the moon."

Baby girl Beckham weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz./3400 grams. Her name hasn't been made public yet.

UPDATE: The British DailyMail reports that the newest Beckham has been named Harper Seven. David Beckham updated his Facebook status. It reads "I am so proud and exited to announce the birth of our daughter Harper Seven Beckham. She weighed a healthy 7lbs 10oz and arrived at 7.55 this morning, here in LA. Victoria is doing really well and her brothers are delighted to have a baby sister xx"

The DailyMail quotes a friend of the Beckhams with regards to their name choice, "Harper is an old English name, something Victoria has always liked. Seven is a very lucky number and the baby was born just after 7am, in the seventh month." Sports fans will also immediately notice that number 7 was David's jersey number  for Manchester United and the English national team.

The DailyMail also reports that little Harper was born via a Caesarean section, just like her older brothers. Also, the girl reportedly is the spitting image of mum Victoria, when she was a baby.

According to The Sun David and Victoria Beckham have asked Eva Longoria, 36, to be the Godmother of their daughter, who's expected to arrive this summer.

Victoria, 37, and Eva have been good friends for years - this photo with a considerably younger Romeo is proof of that - and it was Eva who organised the baby shower for their newest addition to the family. Furthermore, Victoria was there for Eva when she divorced Tony Parker.

Other people on the Godmother/Godfather list were Gordon Ramsey, and Heidi Klum and her husband Seal.
