MTV VMA Award Nomination | Katy Perry

Beautiful singer Katy Perry is dominating the acquisition of nominations in the MTV VMA Awards 2011 which will be held next August 28. As quoted from MTV.com, the singer of 'Fireworks' is won nine nominations, including Video of the Year category, Best Pop Video, and Best Collaboration.

British singer, Adele came in second after winning seven nominations. Nominations are not only dominated the female singer. Through video clips 'All of the Lights' and 'Power', singer Kanye West managed to get seven nominations, including Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Male Video.

The three other female singers, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Nicki Minaj each only bagged three nominations. American rapper Eminem debuted a couple of times to be satisfied at the VMA Awards won three nominations, including Best Male Video.

Meanwhile, two weeks ago, Katy Perry reportedly had food poisoning. Consequently Russell Brand's wife is suffering from severe dehydration and had to rest. This incident forced Perry canceled his concert in Chicago and St.. Paul.

Russell Brand deported from Japan.

No Japan for Russell Brand. Upon arrival in Japan Russell was taken into police custody and deported from the country. Katy Perry had asked her husband to come see her perform, but the Japanese police decided otherwise. He wasn't allowed to enter Japan because of previous convictions, some 10 years ago.

Russell didn't lose his sense of humour though, tweeting a photo of himself in a white room with the text: "Planning escape from Japanese custody. It's bloody hard to dig a tunnel with a chopstick."
